Bang Bang Shrimp

This is a copy cat recipe of the Bang Bang Shrimp from The Bonefish Grill.

Bang Bang Shrimp Sauce Ingredients:

  • 3 Tablespoons Mae Ploy Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1/3 cup Duke’s Mayonnaise
  • 2 Tablespoons Huy Fong Chili Garlic Sauce

Bang Bang Shrimp Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 pound peeled and deveined shrimp
  • 3/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Canola Oil for frying
  • leafy greens
  • 2 Tablespoons panko bread crumbs
  • Green onions, Sliced.

Bang Bang Shrimp Instructions:

  1. Marinate shrimp in buttermilk for 30 minutes.
  2. Make sauce in small mixing bowl. Can make ahead and store in refrigerator until ready to use.
  3. Remove shrimp from buttermilk and drain. Pat shrimp dry.
  4. Coat shrimp in cornstarch mixture and bread crumbs.
  5. Fry shrimp in 2-3 inches of canola oil heated to 375 degrees 1-2 minutes each side until medium brown.
  6. Coat shrimp with sauce and serve immediately over leafy greens, and green onions.
