The Leisha Dress by Sequin Saturday was inspired by my bestie. It is based on a one shoulder silk caftan. Turns out Oscar de la Renta and Kris Jenner had the same idea when they created her 2022 Met Gala Dress. It’s the SAME THING but is $5990!!!!
I created the Leisha Dress using silk and then did another one in a washable poly chiffon so it could be thrown on over your swimsuit and used as a pool worthy caftan. Either fabric is awesome. Whenever I wear The Leisha Dress, I feel like a billionaire celebrity and get compliments. Depending on the fabric used, the Leisha Dress can be the perfect pool coverup (if made in a washable poly). If it is made using silk scarf like fabric is very close to a Met-Worthy gown. It is featured it on my website as both maxi (54″ length) or knee length version (40″ length). I can also be make it as a floor length version, and completely nail the 2022 Met Gala dress for a fraction of the price.
I know the prices aren’t cheap, but designing and sewing a dress takes days of time and effort to perfect before it can be shared with the world. What is your time worth? This isn’t fast fashion.
